Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel
Mr. Koenig serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of SBA Communications (NASDAQ: SBAC), a leading independent owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure, where he advises leadership on legal and business strategy while overseeing key global functions including legal, real estate, mergers & acquisitions, compliance, corporate affairs, sustainability, and risk management. Since joining SBA in January 2010, Mr. Koenig has served in a variety of roles, including Assistant Secretary & Corporate Counsel – Finance & Compliance, Vice President & Associate General Counsel – International, and Senior Vice President – International Legal. Prior to joining SBA, Mr. Koenig was a corporate attorney with the law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, specializing in corporate and financing transactions. Mr. Koenig is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor, and the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance. He is a member of the New York Bar and authorized house counsel in Florida.
